      The part-time Nevada Legislature will not convene for a 2012 regular session. However, we are working closely with pro-gun legislators in preparation for next year when we will work to make improvements to existing state gun laws wherever possible.

    • South Dakota: Political Maneuver Defeats Employee Protection Legislation in Committee February 24, 2012
      On Friday, February 24, the South Dakota Senate Judiciary Committee voted 5 to 2 to defer consideration of House Bill 1132 until the forty-first day of a forty day session. This politically motivated, procedural tactic effectively killed one of the NRA’s top legislative priorities for the 2012 session.
    • Nebraska: No Action Taken During Committee Hearing February 24, 2012
      This past Wednesday, the Judiciary Committee held a hearing on Legislative Bill 785, but took no action.  Another hearing for LB 785 could be held as early as next Wednesday, February 29.  We will keep you informed on any new updates regarding LB 785.
